Privacy Policy
Peg for Apple Watch
Effective 20 September 2026
Peg does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
Microphone
Peg uses the microphone only while the tuner is listening. Audio is analysed on the watch in real time to detect pitch and is discarded immediately. No audio is recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere.
Data stored on your watch
Peg keeps a small amount of information on the device so the app and its widget can work:
- Your settings: reference pitch, tolerance, and haptic preferences.
- The last in-tune result and the times of recent tuning sessions, used by the watch face widget to show your last tuning and to suggest the app around the times you usually practise.
This information never leaves your watch. It is deleted when you delete the app.
Network access
Peg makes no network connections. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party services.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Peg with Siri or the Shortcuts app, requests are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Peg only receives the action you asked for, such as starting the tuner or setting the reference pitch.
Children
Peg does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
